Friday Favourites

Bit of a change up to the usual Friday Favourite’s but here are some of the things I have been loving this week:

I love false eyelashes for a night out but I like to keep them looking as natural as possible which is why these criss cross eyelashes that only over half the lash are amazing and give the main parts of your lashes volume without you looking like you might cause a gale every time you blink! Get yours now from Boots or http://www.headcovers.com/t/wigs/eyebrows-lashes/193/4/

Finding that New Years Resolution to be healthier a bit harder than you thought, have a look at my favourite smoothie recipe discovered on laurenconrad.com it may look a bit odd but tastes amazing! Orginal post here –  http://lindawagner.net/blog/2011/03/green-smoothie-for-weight-loss/

This has to be one of my favourite Marilyn Monroe pictures such an icon mixed with my favourite type of dance!

Possibly on of the funniest videos I have seen! This will brighten up your Friday afternoon!

Have a good weekend everyone! xx

The Playlist to Spice Up Your Workout

Everyone has their own playlist that helps them get through that session at the gym and I am forever changing mine and trying out news things. So when I noticed on Choice FM’s website yesterday that they had a list of the the best urban songs to do a workout too so I thought I would give it a try at the gym last night. Now while some of them were great, some of them I just could not work with so I have taken a few songs out and put a few choices of my own in, this all depends on your taste in music of course but urban and pop lovers will appreciate this I am sure!

1. Super Bass – Nicki Minaj
2. Sweat (David Guetta Remix) – Snoop Dogg
3. How We Roll (feat. Tanya Lacey) – Loick Essien

Friday Favourites

It’s that time of the week again and here are some of the things I have been loving this week….

We all love a statement ring and this one really caught my eye! Topshop do come out with some fab rings!

What a way to spice up your shirt in the office! This 2 tone shirt from Misguided mixes it up as always! Add a chunky necklace and make that tough day at work that little bit better.

My Flash Trash is an online Jewellery Boutique founded by Made in Chelsea’s Amber Atherton and includes some amazing jewellery worn by celebs such as Jessie J and Misha Barton, check it out at http://www.myflashtrash.com/ now.

Probably one of my favourite quotes ever, we all need a new pair of shoes when we are feeling low or just feel like a treat.

Have a great weekend!

Versace for H&M

After an amazing success in November Versace decided to collaborate with H&M once again with a collection this time made up of cruise wear. The Cruise 2012 collection launched exclusively online in the UK yesterday and sold out almost immediately. The H&M Web site crashed at 6:30 a.m, H&M UK tweeted: “We’re very sorry for the tech problems during today’s #VersaceforHM launch. We’re working on expanding capacity for more visitors.”

H&M then sent out an official statement

“We apologize to all the customers who experienced technical problems when trying to shop online. Due to the high volume of customers shopping the Versace Cruise collection our website was down for a few hours. We have been working hard to solve the technical problems that occurred to avoid that this will happen again in the future. We of course hope that as many customers as possible had the possibility to shop. This is a limited, one off collection which is supposed to sell out in a couple of days, but the interest from our customers highly exceeded anything we could have expected.”

Versace fans do not need to worry; items from the Versace H&M Cruise 2012 collection are now available on eBay for your purchasing pleasure however this comes at a cost as the prices have shot up almost four times the original price tag. The most-coveted items include the fruit printed dresses, tops and heels.

This new collection titled the ‘Cruise’ collection see’s a lot of pastels, gold accessories and fruity prints. Women’s wear includes camisoles, blouses, white jeans, belts, flowing caftans, fruity bikinis, gold stiletto sandals and charm bracelets. Menswear includes blazers, brightly hued T-shirts, pleated shorts and a lavish bathrobe.

The retro 50s vibe of the Cruise 2012 line is a striking contrast to the Fall 2011 collection that was founded on 90s sexy decadence. The collection is Donatella Versace’s second and final line for H&M.

Louboutin vs YSL Update

So the case of Louboutin vs YSL continues! Christian Louboutin has taken another blow in its case to protect its red sole trademark.

The case, which began in April 2010, may not be settled for months to come. Those of you who are like me and love Louboutins will know how much the colour means to them and I know I am not alone when I say that a brand such as YSL should respect this and if they want to launch a coloured sole they should go with something different even if it is a different shade of red. I have to say I do not agree with the statements made below;

A group of eminent law professors has sided with YSL. The academics – from some of the US’s most famous law schools – have filed a brief with the Federal Court of Appeals in Manhattan urging the court not to allow Louboutin to “monopolise” the colour. “A woman who buys red shoes is doing so for a reason,” the brief argues. “Red shoes have a particular meaning to her and to others that cannot be supplied or even approximated by shoes of a different colour. Given the substantial creativity involved in both fashion design and fashion consumption, courts should not lightly allow one particular competitor to monopolise particular fashion submarkets.”

I do hope this case will be sorted soon in favour of Louboutin.

Louboutin’s Nudes

Christian Louboutin has become the first “guest creator” in the history of legendary Parisian cabaret club Le Crazy Horse. The fabulous shoe designer celebrated this by posing for a portrait with 2 cabaret dancers in Louboutins of course!

“Crazy Horse isan iconic Paris monument, a monument to dance, a fantastic, modern idea of the celebration of women for women,” Louboutin said.

“I am interested in all things that celebrate and enhance the female form,” Louboutin said. “Because of what I do, for these numbers I have focused on the lower half of the body, rather than the top. The language of legs can express any and every feeling, and without giving too much away, the body becomes the Flame.”

“Christian Louboutin and Crazy Horse Paris are symbols of Parisian life whose worlds know no borders,” Andrée Deissenberg, managing director of Crazy Horse Paris Group, said. ”They share the same sources of inspiration – women, of course, but also the world around them – and both are exceptionally skilled at producing unique and surprising creations. This is why Christian Louboutin was the natural choice as our first guest creator.”
